Quarter of a Century Living – Netherlands Edition!

Ola Muchachos,

Talk about the ultimate birthday travel experience in one week. Lets just say its left me broke. This year I was all about going ALL OUT AND EXTRA for my birthday. And not just any birthday, but my 25th. Yes guys, I’m a whole QUARTER OF A CENTURY. I know I just look 20 but you know its all in the genes. :p

I honestly can’t remember the last time I went all out to spoil myself but this felt like the right opportunity.

It all started with a 3 day trip to Netherlands. Considering Netherlands is the “how can you never have been to Amsterdam” tourist must-have, it was about time I ticked it off my travel list.

Now its funny, how everyone just thinks of Amsterdam when Netherlands is mentioned but there is so much more to the country that people need to discover. And thats exactly what we did.

Zandvoort, a beautiful coastal town – that I had never heard of before coming to Netherlands – was so worth the visit. The town is about 30minutes from Amsterdam and about an hour from Schipol Airport.

Now the Netherlands highlight was our house. It was one the most beautiful houses I have ever stayed stayed. Such luxury living. A three bedroomed, 3 floor house (we didn’t have access to the third floor sadly though so not sure what was up there). The minimalist ambiance, to the minimalist decor to generally the whole house arrangement and style.

Honestly there was not one aspect of the house that I didn’t adore. Although if I was asked to state what I LOVED the most; I would definitely have my answer: the bathrooms.

Now ever seen a bathtub/jacuzzi in the main bedroom and not in the actual bathroom? Well this was my experience. Such a beauty.

My room with the bathtub/jacuzzi right next to my bed. #inlove
No I am not shady! Hehe. but how cute is that tub??? Focus on the tub and not my stupidity. 😀

It didn’t end there, my friends room had open style shower; basically there was no distinction between the bathroom and bedroom. In both rooms, there were even no bathroom doors.

OUR REACTION (which I’m sure you are thinking too): WOW! Although I don’t think these pictures do the house enough justice but just know it was even more WOW than what you can see. LOL.

This was part of the third bedroom.

And oh yeah, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine. Talk about such amazing hospitality. I would definitely stay there again. Intact I’m already trying to plan a trip back to Netherlands soon with a bigger group. 🙂

Just a 4 minute walk away was the zandvoort beach. Such crisp sand and vast fresh air explains its environs. And luckily for us, a quiet and    low populated beach.

Just look at the texture and richess of that sand. 🙂

The Netherlands edition doesn’t end there, check out our Amsterdam tour in my next post.

But for now,

Peace, Love and Njoonami.
