So most of y’all, if not everyone knows I’m from Kenya and thats where I live….
…..well not any more. I have currently moved to the United Kingdom. Bournemouth to be exact, from September 19th 2017.
Bournemouth is certainly not what I expected. It is hella beautiful town located near the ocean and we (yes we, I’m now a local hahaha) have an actual sandy beach – something thats rare to find in town/cities here. Its a relatively big town in the region Dorset; basically South West of England. The people are lovely and theres a lot to do from concerts, to festivals to parades every so often.
Its funny how in Kenya, seeing the ocean was only when we would take holidays to the coast but now I LIVE near the ocean. Literally 5mins away. WOW. Amazing right? These are things you don’t take for granted. 🙂 🙂
Did I also mention that I not only live at the front row of accommodation next to the ocean but I have a beautiful view of the ocean every morning from my room. Dope or what??
Basically, I wake to the sunrise and view the sunset hours before going to bed just from my room. Pretty dope ey?? Gods beauty is amazing. 🙂
Im really happy to have chosen such a pretty town to live in. This I would say, is one the best decisions i have made in my life. Hahaha.
Bournemouth is a very popular town; in fact i had never heard of it before coming here and many people don’t seem to know the place (apart from maybe because of the AFC Bournemouth team- yes they have a team). So basically my coming here is like the best opportunity to reveal England’s beautiful ‘hidden’ treasures.
Therefore, this section of my blog dubbed College Tourist is basically where I am going to document all my U.K. experiences with regard to travel, events, food, and anything else I find fit for the period of time that I will be here. 🙂 🙂
I hope you enjoy my new adventures in a country. I really can’t wait to show y’all what i get up to. 🙂
